Seven Dwarfs Turquoise does not really resemble what you typically think of as turquoise. This is a very interesting combination which is actually a mixture of turquoise and variscite, among other materials. While researching, I discovered a little more information about Seven Dwarfs Turquoise. It comes from a single small mine in Nevada where many sought after materials are so close to this was discovered. It is a small operation, and the mine has recently been depleted. I feel like the term 'rare' is being overused, but definitely not when it comes to this stone. This large dramatic turquoise mostly beige, Ivory and gold in color with splashes of blue. The matrix is just so dramatic! The stone measures 1 1/2 x 1". It is set in oxidized silver with 18K gold accents and 14K gold clasp. The necklace is 22" long (happy to make it shorter if needed). Gorgeous stone!
