Australian opals are kaleidoscopes of color. As gemstone is moved, its colors shift and shimmer, making each opal a unique work of natural art. This one has especially vibrant colors ranging from purple to electric blue to greens and reds. It is a black opal, and the dark body makes the colors to stand up even more. its dramatic visual impact allows the gem to serve as a bold, sophisticated statement even though it is not very large in size. It is a doublet (it is backed for stability) 15x8mm (4ct.). I set it in 22K gold bezel with 2.5mm lab-grown emerald as an accent stone (set in 18k gold). The band is 1/2" wide textured band. Ring's face measures 7/8 x 9/16". Size - fit to finger size 6.5 - 6.75 (it is 7.25 on mandrel, but fits smaller due to the wide band).
