Botryoidal chalcedony druzy, yellow sapphire and chrysoprase pendant -
This one-of-a-kind pendant is a true celebration of natural textures and rich color contrast, entirely handcrafted in my studio. At the heart of the piece is a magnificent, large oval botryoidal chalcedony druzy. The natural, bubble-like formations remind me of ocean foam rolling on the shore with every wave. It is translucent and has sea-foam-blue hues to it. To make that unique surface texture pop, I set the druzy in a deeply oxidized sterling silver bezel. I chose two exceptional accent stones and nestled them in rich, solid 22K yellow gold bezels. Above the druzy, a brilliant faceted yellow sapphire adds a sudden burst of fiery warmth that draws the eye upward. Below the druzy, a vibrant gem-grade chrysoprase cabochon grounds the piece with its clean, glowing, translucent apple-green hue. The granules that connect it to the main stone setting are solid 18K gold. I love this piece, the simple lines of it, and the beauty of the stones.
