Ceruleite is a very rare mineral from Chile, and it is hard to find in large size, so you don't see many large cabochons like this one. Very rare find. The color is a unique shade of blue, nothing like I have seen in other gemstones. It is also so vivid, hard to believe it's natural. I love the matrix in this one as well. I set this gem in a hand-cut fancy bezel with a diamond accent and gold granule at the bottom. The silver has been oxidized and polished. Such a beautiful gem with dramatic and understated setting that lets the stone speak. The diamond is set in 14K gold and the gratulation is 18K. Pendant measures 2 x 1 1/6". Necklace is 18-20" long (adjustable). Happy to make it shorter if needed.
