This large teardrop Ethiopian opal is a little rainbow captured in a dewdrop! Cradled in a rich 22K gold bezel, the gem dances with flashes of neon green, fiery orange, and shimmery blue. Accented with a tiny, brilliant diamond accent, it is the perfect magical and everyday-elegant spark of joy :). Opal weights 10.5ct., and it measures 19x14mm, it is set with the back open to showcase its translucency (translucent opals are more valuable). Ethiopian opal jewelry care:
Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or any liquids to clean your opal jewelry. Ethiopian Opals are "hydrophane", which makes them thirsty for water. If they come in contact with water (or any liquid), they will absorb it like a sponge. It can result in color change and/or make your opal dull. Avoid high temperatures, harsh environments, lotions and sprays (like hair spray or perfume). Do not wear when exercising to avoid contact with sweat. Just wipe with a soft and dry microfiber cloth after every use to eliminate fingerprints, dust, and dirt.
