This ring is centered around a truly remarkable, massive piece of Indonesian lavender chalcedony. I hand-selected this particular stone because of the way it holds the light; it has a soft, almost cloud-like glow that shifts gently from a delicate lilac to a quiet lavender depending on the time of day and the lighting.
I wanted the metalwork to feel unique in contrast to the elegant simplicity of the stone. The chalcedony is nestled securely in a rich, warm 22K gold bezel, but the band is where I let my creativity shine. It is crafted from sterling silver with a fused silver dust technique to give the shank a raw, textured, and earthy feel - almost like weathered stone. To tie everything together, I carefully accented the band with tiny 18K gold dots (arranged around the side cut-outs). They catch the light unexpectedly as you move. The band is smooth and polished on the inside, and feels comfortable on your finger. Chalcedony measures 25x19mm, and it weights 39ct.. Ring’s size - fits to finger size 7 - 7.25 (it is 7.75 on mandrel, but fits smaller due to the wide band).
