This piece is really all about the stones. It features a round Polychrome Qingu Turquoise cabochon that looks like a tiny, captured landscape. The colors are a beautiful blend of deep blue-greens, broken up by warm, rusty orange-browns and a dark chcolate webbed matrix running throughout. Right tucked underneath the turquoise, we’ve set a trillion-cut iolite accent. Its subtle violet-blue shade shifts gently in the light, offering a soft contrast to the earthy tones above it. For the metalwork, I chose a mix of textures and tones to give it a lived-in, soulful feel. The turquoise is nestled in oxidized sterling silver to bring out the depth of the matrix, highlighted by small 18K gold accents. The iolite is secured in a rich 22K gold bezel, adding a pop of warmth and luxury right at the bottom. It’s a grounded piece with a lot of character - perfect if you appreciate jewelry that feels like it has a story to tell.
