Snakeskin stone is the fossilized upper grinding plate of an ancient wrasse fish mostly found in Indonesia. This rare material is nicknamed "Snakeskin Stone" or "Snakeskin Agate" because its intricate pattern, revealed when cut and polished, resembles snake scales.
